Troop Achieves SBA Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Certification
On March 5, 2024, Troop Industrial was officially notified that our application had successfully passed the final review, meeting all the criteria for the SBA’s Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Certification.
The SBA SDVOSB certification is more than just a designation; it signifies that a business is majority-owned and operationally controlled by a Veteran Marine, Soldier, Sailor, or Airman, who has made significant sacrifices, bearing the physical and/or psychological scars of their service to the country.
This certification opens doors to vast opportunities and advantages for businesses led by service-disabled veterans across various sectors, including technology, oil & gas, engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), liquefied natural gas (LNG), green energy, and more. These businesses serve critical markets, including the Department of Defense and other state and federal entities.
Previously, Troop Industrial had obtained certification through a private entity, only to discover that the SBA is the sole recognized authority for SDVOSB certification. The process of obtaining the SBA SDVOSB certification is known for its rigor and demands, often described by applicants as a journey filled with persistence and challenges.
